2019 Wetnose Day
Why we need money...
Wetnose Animal Aid is raising funds that will be given to struggling Animal Rescue Centres to help pay off vets bills, buying equipment or animal feed which would go a long way to helping them in their day to day invaluable work. These Rescue Centres are experiencing a marked downturn in donations, but a noticeable increase in animals being ‘dumped’ on them, as owners continue for various reasons not to be able to keep their animals. That equation does not balance, and therefore this Wetnose Day is an important event to help raise serious levels of funds to get the balance back.
So why not hold your own FUNdraising event to help this fantastic cause.
You can find some great ideas on the Fundraising Ideas page along with event registration and sponsorship forms.
Thank you very much on behalf of all the sick and vulnerable animals you will for your help.

Raising Funds For Sick And Vulnerable Animals
29th September to 1st October 2017

"Wear a nose and give us a pose!"
“As a family we have two adorable dogs, Buddy and Rudie, who are loved and cherished every single day. Sadly some animals are abandoned, unwanted or mistreated, finding their way to rescue centres. The thought of any pet suffering or being abandoned is unthinkable to me but this does sadly happen, and is on the rise. This is why I’m so keen to support Wetnose Day.
Animal Rescue Centres across the UK are in desperate need of funds so they can rescue, rehabilitate and re-home pets. These centres are experiencing fewer donations but an increasing number of animals. Many of the smaller sanctuaries are full to bursting and need help to buy food, equipment and pay large vet bills. Please join me and support those without a voice. Join Wetnose Day this September and let’s all ensure every animal, no matter how big or small, finds their forever home.

“I support Wetnose Animal Aid and I am proud to be ambassador to Wetnose Day. It is such a fun and inspiring time to gather people together to work hard in supporting those smaller charitable organisations who struggle so hard to raise funds for the excellent and tiring work they do on a daily basis.” Anneka Svenska –Wildlife Presenter & Founder of GreenWorldTV
“We owe so much to the smaller animal charities; they put every pound they’re given into helping creatures. They may not have the profile of the bigger organisations, but the work they do is just as worthwhile. I am pleased to be supporting the Wetnose Day event.” Nigel Marven – Wildlife Presenter and Producer

"A national fundraising day for animals is a wonderful idea, it would not only help with raising much needed funds for animal charities but would help educate the public about the huge scale of unwanted and stray animal situation both in the U.K and abroad. The public could be encouraged to help by giving homes to rescue animals rather than buying from breeders and puppy farms and also learn about responsible pet ownership and the importance of neutering."
"Lily’s Kitchen know how much hard work goes into keeping a rescue afloat with so many animals needing help. These charities deserve as much help as they can get in the form of donations, support and volunteers.
This is why we support Wetnose Day 4 Animals a fund raising day to help raise funds that will support small charities with the amazing work they do everyday. In addition, through our latest campaign ‘Dinner’s on us.’ Through this initiative, we’ve pledged to donate 650,000 meals to cats and dogs in need.
